Guide
How can I pay for Facebook ads in Bangladesh without a credit card?
You can now add bKash as a payment method in your Meta ad account, so a credit card is no longer the only way to pay for Facebook and Instagram ads in Bangladesh. The other routes are a bank card enabled for international payments, or paying through a local agency. Whichever you choose, keep the ad account in your own name.
Option 1: bKash in your own ad account
In September 2026, Meta and its local partner launched bKash as a payment method for businesses advertising on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp in Bangladesh. Before that, advertisers here needed a credit card that could pay in foreign currency.
To add it, open the payment settings of your ad account in Ads Manager or the Meta Ads app, choose to add a payment method, select bKash and confirm with your bKash number and the code sent to your phone. Reports from the rollout say the option was enabled account by account, so it may not appear for everyone at the same time.
Only you should enter your bKash PIN or the one-time code. Nobody who helps with your ads needs them.
Option 2: a card enabled for international payments
A credit or debit card that your bank has enabled for international online payments still works, and it is how most advertisers here paid before bKash was added. Banks often call these international or dual-currency cards.
Ask your bank whether your card is enabled for this and whether it carries a spending limit. A card that stops working halfway through a campaign pauses your ads.
Option 3: paying through a local agency
Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in June 2025 that lets local advertisers pay for ads on foreign platforms such as Facebook and Google through local ad agencies, without separate central bank approval, provided the agency keeps the required agreements, invoices and tax records.
If you go this way, ask three questions first: is the ad account in my name, will I see exactly what was spent, and is your fee shown separately from the ad budget?
Mistakes to avoid
Paying someone to run ads from their own account. It is quick, but the results, the audiences and the history stay with them, and you start again from nothing if you move on.
Sharing your Facebook password instead of giving access. You can add people to your page and ad account with their own login, and remove them any time.
Treating payment as the hard part. Once you can pay, the bigger question is what result the ads are set up for: messages, leads or sales, rather than likes.
FAQ
Common questions
Why can't I see bKash in my payment methods?
It was rolled out to ad accounts gradually, so it may not show in every account yet. Check that your ad account's country is set to Bangladesh. If it still isn't there, use a card enabled for international payments for now.
Is boosting from someone else's page or account a good idea?
Usually not. Run ads from your own page and ad account, and give access to whoever helps you. That way the results and the history stay with your business.
Is an agency's fee the same as the ad budget?
It shouldn't be. Ask for the fee and the ad spend written separately, so you can see what went to Facebook. At Norvik, the ad budget is paid from your own account and our fee is separate.
